Description- Nepro LP Vanilla Toffee Powder 400 g
Nepro LP is a food for special medical purposes and intended for the dietary management of patients with renal impairment but not on dialysis. It is a complete, low-protein and high caloric density, enriched with prebiotics (scFOS) to preserve bowel function. It is available in convenient resealable bottle in vanilla toffee flavour, and aimed for oral or tube feeding. The amount of some nutrients has been modified to meet the nutritional needs of patients with renal insufficiency and undergoing dialysis. for this the product is formulated with more folic acid, less Vitamin D, no addition of chromium, low levels of phosphorus, potassium , sodium and calcium, high percentage of MUFA and Omega-3 to protect the cardiovascular system, and less release of carbohydrates to help control blood sugar. It can be used as the sole source of nutrition or as a supplement to the diet of the patient, under the supervision of a physician.
