Caripill Tablet is an ayurvedic proprietary medicine containing papaya (Carica papaya) leaf extract. This extract in Caripill is found to be useful in increasing the platelet count. Patients with low platelet count associated with dengue are provided with beneficial results with the usage of Caripill. It acts as an adjuvant for increasing the thrombocytes associated with dengue fever. It is advised in Thrombocytopenia (low platelet count) for the prevention of bleeding.

- If allergic to any ingredients of Caripill Tablets, let the physician know straight away.
- It should be used with caution in individuals with bleeding disorders or those taking blood-thinning medications such as aspirin or warfarin.
- Co-administration of extracts of Carica papaya with oral hypoglycemic may lead to very low blood glucose levels. Therefore, it is important to closely monitor blood glucose levels regularly to avoid hypoglycemia.
- It has been found to increase the bioavailability of amiodarone and therefore the dose should be adjusted accordingly when co-administered with Carica papaya leaf extract.
- In males with prostate dysfunction, such as Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or prostate cancer, Carica papaya should be avoided as it increases iron absorption. Excess iron may increase oxidative stress, especially in the aging male. Iron overload may increase the risk of developing prostate cancer.
- The physician should become aware of the concomitant consumption of this one with another medicine or supplement.
- Seek precaution during pregnancy and lactation.
