About Active D 0.25 mcg Tablet:
Active D Tablet is an active form of vitamin D, formulated with calcitriol. It used to treat and prevent of osteoporosis. It also used for the treatment of low blood calcium with renal osteodystrophy (a form of bone disease due to failure of the kidneys), hypoparathyroidism from various causes (reduced function of the parathyroid glands), hyperparathyroidism (excessive levels of the parathyroid hormone in the body) and rickets (Vitamin D deficiency).
Composition:
Each film coated tablet contains :
Calcitriol: 0.25 mcg, Excipients q.s.
Colour: Yellow oxide of Iron
Appropriate overages added to compensate for loss on storage.
Uses of Active D Tablet:
- Used to treat and prevent of osteoporosis.
- Used for the treatment of low blood calcium with renal osteodystrophy, hypoparathyroidism from various causes, hyperparathyroidism and rickets.
Usage Direction of Active D Tablet:
- Active D Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as advised by the physician.
- Active D Tablet should be swallowed whole with the help of water.
- Do not chewed, opened or crush.
- Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
- Do not consume more than the recommended dose.
