Zocon eye drop is prescribed for the treatment of fungal eye infection. Zocon eye drop contains Fluconazole 0.3% W/V, Benzalkonium Chloride 0.01% W/V (as preservative) and Aqueous buffered vehicle q.s.
Fluconazole is an antifungal medicine. It belongs to a class of drugs called azole antifungals. Fluconazole ophthalmic solution is prescribed for the treatment of fungal eye infection, such as fungal infection of eye lids, conjunctiva, cornea, etc. Oral Fluconazole is also used widely to treat meningitis, serious fungal infections that begin in the lungs and can spread through the body and fungal infections of skin and nails. It works by stopping the growth of fungus that cause infection.
Use of Zocon Eye Drop:
Zocon eye drop is prescribed for the treatment eye infection caused by fungi and yeast. It inhibits the growth of fungus that cause infection.
Usage direction of Zocon Eye Drop:
- Zocon eye drop is intended for ophthalmic use only.
- Read the pack insert before use.
- Wash your hands before each application.
- Use the solution within one month after opening the vial.
- Do not skip or stop the dose without doctor’s advice.
- Do not apply more than the prescribed dose.
- Replace the cap after every use.
Precaution & Related information of Zocon Eye Drop:
- Zocon eye drop is for external use only, not for injection.
- Do not touch vial tip to any surface since this may contaminate the solution.
- If the solution becomes cloudy or dark brown it should be discarded.
- If irritation persists or increases discontinue the use and consult the physician.
