About Walcephase 1000 SR Tablet:

Walcephase 1000 SR tablet is an anti-diabetic medication used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Each uncoated sustained-release Walcephase 1000 SR tablet contains Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg (Prolonged-release).

Metformin is a biguanide antihyperglycemic agent which improves glucose tolerance by lowering both basal and postprandial plasma glucose. It decreases hepatic glucose production, delays intestinal glucose absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity by enhancing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.

Use of Walcephase 1000 SR Tablet:

Walcephase 1000 SR tablet is prescribed as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

It can also be used to treat polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in women.

Usage direction of Walcephase 1000 SR Tablet:

  • Walcephase 1000 SR tablet should be taken orally.
  • Walcephase 1000 SR tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
  • Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
  • Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
  • Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

  • It is dangerous to take this preparation except under medical supervision.
