Vivax 5 mg tablet is an antidepressant medication, used for the treatment of depression.
Each film coated Vivax 5 mg tablet contains Amitriptyline Hydrochloride 5 mg.
Amitriptyline is a dibenzo cycloheptadiene tricyclic antidepressant. It inhibits the neuronal reuptake of serotonin (5-HT) and norepinephrine by the presynaptic neuronal membrane, hence increasing the synaptic concentration in the central nervous system and helps in improving depressive symptoms.
Use of Vivax 5 mg Tablet:
Vivax 5 mg tablet is prescribed for:
- The treatment of the major depressive disorder
- The management of neuropathic pain
- The prophylactic treatment of migraine and chronic tension-type headache (CTTH)
Usage direction of Vivax 5 mg Tablet:
- Vivax 5 mg tablet should be taken orally.
- Vivax 5 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
