About VildaXyl M1 Tablet:

VildaXyl M1 Tablet is a combination of two anti-diabetic medications, used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Each uncoated bilayered VildaXyl M1 Tablet contains Vildagliptin 50 mg and Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg.

Vildagliptin selectively inhibits the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) enzyme that rapidly truncates and inactivates incretin hormones such as glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP). Incretin hormones increase insulin synthesis and decrease glucagon release in a manner dependent on glucose concentrations. These effects lead to an overall increase in blood glucose control.

Metformin is a biguanide antihyperglycaemic agent which improves glucose tolerance by lowering both basal and postprandial plasma glucose. It decreases hepatic glucose production, delays intestinal glucose absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity by enhancing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.

Use of VildaXyl M1 Tablet:

VildaXyl M1 Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps control high blood glucose levels.

Usage Direction of VildaXyl M1 Tablet:

  • VildaXyl M1 Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
  • VildaXyl M1 Tablet is to be taken with the help of water.
  • Do not break, chew or crush the tablet.
  • Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
  • Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of VildaXyl M1 Tablet:

  • Warning: It is dangerous to take this preparation except under medical supervision.
  • Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to VildaXyl M1 Tablet.
