About Ventorlin Inhaler:

Ventorlin Inhaler is a bronchodilator group of medicines indicated for the management of bronchospasm in patient with reversible obstructive airway diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or other lung diseases.

Each metered actuation provides: Salbutamol Sulphate equivalent to Salbutamol 100 mcg (CFC Free).

Salbutamol is a selective beta-2-adrenergic agonist. It acts on the beta-2 adrenoceptors of the bronchial muscle and opens up the small airways in the lungs to make breathing easier. Therefore, prevent or relieve symptoms (wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and chest tightness) of bronchospasm, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Use of Ventorlin Inhaler:

Ventorlin Inhaler is prescribed for the management of bronchospasm in patient with reversible obstructive airway diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or other lung diseases.

It is also indicated for the prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm in patients 4 years of age and older.

Usage Direction of Ventorlin Inhaler:

  • Ventorlin Inhaler is intended for oral inhalation only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
  • Before using it for the first time, remove the mouthpiece cover by gently squeezing the sides of the cover, shaking the inhaler well and releasing two puffs into the air to make sure that it works.
  • Remove the mouthpiece cover by gently squeezing the sides of the cover.
  • Check inside and outside of the inhaler including the mouthpiece for the presence of loose objects.
  • Shake the inhaler well to ensure that any loose objects are removed and that the contents of the inhaler are evenly mixed.
  • Hold the inhaler upright between fingers and thumb with your thumb on the base, below the mouthpiece.
  • Breathe out as far as is comfortable and then place the mouthpiece in your mouth between your teeth and close your lips around it but do not bite it.
  • Just after starting to breathe in through your mouth press down on the top of the inhaler to release Ventorlin while still breathing in steadily and deeply.
  • While holding the breath, take the inhaler from mouth and take your finger from the top of the inhaler. Continue holding your breath for as long as is comfortable.
  • Replace the mouthpiece cover by firmly pushing and snapping the cap into position.
  • Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
  • It is dangerous to exceed the recommended dose.
  • Read accompanying enclosed leaflet or label instruction before use.

  • If hypersensitive or allergic to Ventorlin Inhaler, inform the physician immediately.
  • Ventorlin Inhaler should be administered cautiously to patients with thyrotoxicosis.
  • If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
  • The Physician should be well informed when concomitant use of this inhaler with any other medicines.
  • Keep away from children.
  • The container is under pressure and must not be punctured, broken or incinerated even when apparently empty. The container may explode if punctured.
  • The container must be kept away from heat and direct sunlight.
  • Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.

Storage condition of Ventorlin Inhaler:

  • Store protected from light and moisture, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from frost.
