About Veltride Tablet:

Veltride tablet is an antiandrogenic compound that is used for the treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult males by inhibiting 5-alpha reductase.

Each soft gelatin Veltride tablet contains Dutasteride 0.5 mg.

Dutasteride reduces circulating levels of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by inhibiting both type 1 and 2, 5alpha-reductaseisoenzymes, which are responsible for the conversion of testosterone to 5alpha-DHT.

Use of Veltride Tablet:

Veltride tablet is prescribed for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate. It improves the associated symptoms, reduces the risk of acute urinary retention and the need for BPH-related surgery.

Usage direction of Veltride Tablet:

  • Veltride Tablet should be taken orally.
  • Veltride Tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
  • Do not crush,chew or break the tablet.
  • Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
  • Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Veltride Tablet:

  • If allergic to this medicine, inform the physician immediately.
  • If find any other complication inform the physician immediately.
  • Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Dutasteride is absorbed through the skin. Therefore, woman who are pregnant or may be pregnant should not handle crushed or broken dutasteride tablet because of the possibility of absorption of dutasteride and the potential risk of a foetal anomaly to a male foetus.

Storage condition of Veltride Tablet:

Store below 30°C. Protected from light and moisture.
