Itopride 150mg + Rabeprazole 20mg
About Veloz IT Capsule:
Veloz IT Capsule is a combination medication, indicated to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease, a condition when stomach acid flows back into the esophagus (food pipe).
Each hard gelatin Veloz IT capsule contains Rabeprazole Sodium (As enteric coated pellets) 20 mg and Itopride Hydrochloride (As sustained release pellets) 150 mg.
Rabeprazole belongs to a class of anti-secretory medicines and acts as a proton pump inhibitor. It suppresses gastric acid secretion by the inhibition of the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cells.
Itopride is a gastroprokinetic medicine and acts as an acetylcholine esterase inhibitor and a dopamine receptor antagonist respectively. It stimulates the movement of food through the digestive tract by these inhibitory actions and also exerts antiemetic action by decreasing the effects of dopamine in the vomiting center.
