About Veenat 100 mg Capsule:
Veenat 100 mg capsule belongs to the class of medicines known as tyrosine kinase inhibitors and is primarily used in the treatment of blood cancers.
Each Veenat 100 mg capsule contains Imatinib Mesylate equivalent to Imatinib 100 mg.
Imatinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that inhibits the BCR-ABL tyrosine kinase which is the constitutive abnormal gene product of Philadelphia chromosome thereby, blocking the proliferation and inducing apoptosis in BCR-ABL positive cell lines and Philadelphia chromosome-positive leukemic cells. It also inhibits the tyrosine kinase for platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), stem cell factor (SCF), c-KIT (CD117) and PDGF- and SCF-mediated cellular events.
Use of Veenat 100 mg Capsule:
Veenat 100 mg Capsule is prescribed for treatment of following disease conditions:
- Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukaemia
- Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukaemia
- Myelodysplastic or myeloproliferative disease
- Idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome
- Chronic eosinophilic leukaemia
- Gastrointestinal stromal tumour
- Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans
- Aggressive systemic mastocytosis, etc
Usage direction of Veenat 100 mg Capsule:
- Veenat 100 mg capsule should be taken orally.
- Veenat 100 mg capsule is taken whole with the help of water.
- Do not chew or break the capsule.
- Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
- Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
