About Valparin 200 mg Syrup:

Valparin 200 mg Syrup is an antiepileptic class of medication, indicated for the treatment of epilepsy, manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder, and prophylaxis of migraine headache.

Each 5 ml of Valparin 200 mg Syrup contains Sodium Valproate 200 mg.

Sodium Valproate is an antiepileptic class of medicines. It controls seizures or fits by stabilizing excessive electrical activity in the brain. It is thought to achieve this in two ways: by increasing the activity of a natural 'nerve-calming' agent in the brain and preventing electrical signals from building up in nerve cells in the brain.

Use of Valparin 200 mg Syrup:

Valparin 200 mg Syrup is prescribed for the following conditions:

• Use as Monotherapy and adjunctive therapy in the management of epilepsy (A disorder, in which nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed, causing seizures)
• Treatment of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder
• Prophylaxis of migraine headache

Usage Direction of Valparin 200 mg Syrup:

• Valparin 200 mg Syrup is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Use the measuring cup for accurate dosing.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Valparin 200 mg Syrup:

• If hypersensitive or allergic to Valparin 200 mg Syrup, inform the physician immediately.
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
• The physician should be well informed when concomitant consumption of this syrup with any other medicines or supplements.
• This medicine can seriously harm an unborn baby. Always use effective contraception during this treatment.
• If the patient is thinking to conceive or already conceived in that case consult with the physician straight away.
• Consult with the physician during lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

• Store protected from moisture, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
