About Valgress CR 200 mg Tablet:

Valgress CR 200 mg Tablet is an antiepileptic class of medication, indicated for the treatment of epilepsy, manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder, and prophylaxis of migraine headache.

Each film-coated controlled-release Valgress CR 200 mg Tablet contains Sodium Valproate 135 mg and Valproic Acid 58 mg (Both together corresponds to Sodium Valproate 200 mg).

Sodium Valproate is an antiepileptic class of medicines. It controls seizures or fits by stabilizing excessive electrical activity in the brain. It is thought to achieve this in two ways: by increasing the activity of a natural 'nerve-calming' agent in the brain, and by preventing electrical signals from building up in nerve cells in the brain.

Use of Valgress CR 200 mg Tablet:

Valgress CR 200 mg Tablet is prescribed for the following conditions:

  • Use as Monotherapy and adjunctive therapy in the management of epilepsy (A disorder, in which nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed, causing seizures)
  • Treatment of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder
  • Prophylaxis of migraine headache

Usage Direction of Valgress CR 200 mg Tablet:

  • Valgress CR 200 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
  • Valgress CR 200 mg Tablet should be swallowed whole.
  • Do not chew the tablet.
  • Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
  • Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Valgress CR 200 mg Tablet:

  • If hypersensitive or allergic to Valgress CR 200 mg Tablet, inform the physician immediately.
  • If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
