About Trimox CV 228.5 mg Dry Syrup:

Trimox CV 228.5 mg Dry Syrup is a combination of two antibacterial medicines, indicated for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections in children.

Each 5 ml of constituted suspension of Trimox CV 228.5 mg Dry Syrup contains Amoxycillin Trihydrate equivalent to Amoxycillin 200 mg and Potassium Clavulanate Diluted equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 28.5 mg.

Amoxycillin belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It prevents bacterial infections by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, which is required for the bacteria to grow and multiply.

Clavulanic acid belongs to a class of antibacterial medicines. It acts by inactivating some beta-lactamase enzymes that are produced by bacteria, thereby, preventing bacteria from destroying Amoxycillin.

Uses of Trimox CV 228.5 mg Dry Syrup:

Trimox CV 228.5 mg Dry Syrup is prescribed for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections including lower respiratory tract infections, otitis media (ear infection), sinusitis (sinus infection), skin & skin structure infections, and urinary tract infections in children.

Usage Direction of Trimox CV 228.5 mg Dry Syrup:

  • Trimox CV 228.5 mg Dry Syrup is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
  • Reconstitute the Trimox CV 228.5 mg Dry Syrup as per the physician’s direction & also check the package insert leaflet.
  • Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
  • Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.
