About Thyrotas 12.5 mcg Tablet:

Each uncoated Thyrotas 12.5 mcg tablet contains L-Thyroxine sodium equivalent to anhydrous L-Thyroxine sodium 12.5 mcg (Synthetic Thyroid Hormone) and Excipients q.s.

Use of Thyrotas 12.5 mcg Tablet:

Thyrotas 12.5 mcg tablet is used to prescribe for the treatment of hypothyroidism.

It is also used in the management of thyroid cancer and diffuse non-toxic goiter or Hashimoto thyroiditis, conditions in which the thyroid gland becomes enlarged causing swelling in the front of neck.

Usage direction of Thyrotas 12.5 mcg Tablet:

  • Thyrotas 12.5 mcg tablet should be taken orally.
  • Thyrotas 12.5 mcg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
  • Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
  • Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
  • Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Thyrotas 12.5 mcg Tablet:

  • If allergic to this medicine, inform the physician immediately.
  • If find any other complication inform the physician immediately.
  • Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
  • Store at 25ºC (77ºF); excursions permitted to 15º to 30ºC (59º to 86º F). Protected from light & moisture.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Special warnings of Thyrotas 12.5 mcg tablet with food and drink:

Consumption of soybean flour (infant formula), cotton seed meal, walnuts and dietary fiber may bind and decrease the absorption of levothyroxine sodium from the gastrointestinal tract.

Calcium, calcium-fortified orange juice and grape fruit juice may delay the absorption of levothyroxine and reduce its bioavailability.
