Supacef Injection 1.5 gm

About Supacef Injection 1.5 gm:

Supacef Injection 1.5 gm is an antibiotic, used for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infection.

Each vial contains Cefuroxime Sodium equivalent to Cefuroxime 1.5 g.

Cefuroxime is a beta-lactam antibiotic, which inhibits bacterial cell wall biosynthesis by binding to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), thus arresting cell wall assembly resulting in bacterial cell death.

Use of Supacef Injection 1.5 gm:

Supacef Injection 1.5 gm is prescribed for the treatment of many different types of bacterial infections such as bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis, ear infections, gonorrhea, urinary tract infections, skin & soft tissue infections, etc.

Usage direction of Supacef Injection 1.5 gm:

• Supacef Injection 1.5 gm is intended for Intravenous injection only.
• For dosage and administration please check the package leaflet or label instruction.
• Supacef Injection 1.5 gm is given under the supervision of the physician. Kindly do not self-administer.
• Diluent: 15 ml of sterile water for injection for Intravenous use – 100 mg/ml.
• Dispose the needle after use.

Precaution & Related information of Supacef Injection 1.5 gm:

• If allergic to this medicine, inform the physician immediately.
• If find any other complication inform the physician immediately.
• After reconstitution, it should be used within 5 hours of preparation if stored at temperature below 25°C or within 48 hours if stored in a refrigerator.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Supacef Injection 1.5 gm:

Store in a dry place at temperature not exceeding 25°C. Protect from light.
