Som Dsr Capsule is a combination medicine, used to treat symptoms of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) and related digestive issues, when Esomeprazole alone is not effective enough to manage.

Each hard gelatin Capsule contains Esomeprazole Magnesium Trihydrate equivalent to Esomeprazole (as gastro resistant pellets): 40 mg, Domperidone (as prolonged release pellets): 30 mg and Excipients q.s.

How Som Dsr Capsule works:

Som Dsr Capsule contains two active ingredients: Esomeprazole and Domperidone, which work together to treat conditions caused by too much stomach acid and improve digestion.

• Missed Dose

• Overdose

Contraindications of Som Dsr Capsule:

Do not take Som Dsr Capsule if you are allergic or hypersensitive to esomeprazole, other proton pump inhibitors, domperidone, other dopamine antagonists or other ingredients of this medication. Som Dsr Capsule should also be avoided if you have moderate to severe liver or kidney disease, a tumour of the pituitary gland (prolactinoma), stomach or intestinal bleeding, intestinal blockage, or perforation. It is also unsafe for people with heart rhythm problems, heart failure, or low potassium or magnesium levels, and also if you are taking any medicine to treat of HIV-infection.

Before starting Som Dsr Capsule, inform your doctor if you have severe liver or kidney disease, gastric ulcers or gastrointestinal surgery, low magnesium levels, bone fractures, atrophic gastritis, acute interstitial nephritis, and Clostridium difficile–associated diarrhea. Also, let your doctor know if you are taking this medicine for a long time, which may lead to Vitamin B12 deficiency.

Additionally, some uncommon side effects have also been reported, such as swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, lips or throat, irregular eye movements, twisted neck, trembling and muscle stiffness, unusual heartbeat and fit (seizure).
