About Solprate CR 500 mg Tablet:

Solprate CR 500 mg Tablet is an antiepileptic class of medication, indicated for the treatment of epilepsy, manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder, and prophylaxis of migraine headache.

Each film-coated controlled-release Solprate CR 500 mg Tablet contains Sodium Valproate 333 mg and Valproic Acid 145 mg (Both together correspond to Sodium Valproate 500 mg).

Sodium Valproate and Valproic Acid both are antiepileptic classes of medicines. It controls seizures or fits by stabilizing excessive electrical activity in the brain. It is thought to achieve this in two ways: by increasing the activity of a natural 'nerve-calming' agent in the brain, and by preventing electrical signals from building up in nerve cells in the brain.

Use of Solprate CR 500 mg Tablet:

Solprate CR 500 mg Tablet is prescribed for the following conditions:

Use as Monotherapy and adjunctive therapy in the management of epilepsy (A disorder, in which nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed, causing seizures)

Treatment of manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder

Prophylaxis of migraine headache

Usage Direction of Solprate CR 500 mg Tablet:

  • Solprate CR 500 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
  • Solprate CR 500 mg Tablet should be swallowed whole.
  • Do not chew or crush the tablet.
  • Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
  • Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Solprate CR 500 mg Tablet:

  • If hypersensitive or allergic to Solprate CR 500 mg Tablet, inform the physician immediately.  
  • If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
  • The physician should be well informed when concomitant consumption of this tablet with any other medicines or supplements.
  • Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
  • Keep the medicine out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Solprate CR 500 mg Tablet:
