About Seretide 250 mcg Evohaler:
Seretide 250 mcg evohaler is used to manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Each metered inhalation provides Fluticasone Propionate 250 mcg and Salmeterol Xinafoate equivalent to 25 mcg of Salmeterol suspended CFC-free propellant HFA 134a.
Salmeterol is an agonist of beta2-adrenergic receptors (found predominantly in bronchial smooth muscle). Beta-2 adrenoceptor stimulation causes relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle, bronchodilation, and increased airflow.
Fluticasone propionate is a synthetic, trifluorinated glucocorticoid with potent anti-inflammatory activity. It exerts its beneficial effects by inhibiting several types of cells and mediators involved in allergic, immune, and inflammatory responses.
Use of Seretide 250 mcg Evohaler:
Seretide 250 mcg evohaler is indicated in the regular treatment of asthma, where the use of a combination (long-acting beta2-agonist and inhaled corticosteroid) has been found to be appropriate, and in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Usage direction of Seretide 250 mcg Evohaler:
• Seretide 250 mcg evohaler is meant for oral inhalation only.
• Before using Seretide 250 mcg evohaler, know the administration process properly from the enclosed leaflet.
• The container should be shaken before use.
• Close the mouthpiece cover immediately after every inhalation.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Do not discontinue without physician’s advice.
