About Reniva M 500 mg Tablet:

Reniva M 500 mg tablet is a combination of two anti-diabetic medications, used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Each film coated Reniva M 500 mg tablet contains Remogliflozin Etabonate 100 mg, Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg and Excipients q.s.

Remogliflozin Etabonate (RE) is a prodrug of remogliflozin. Remogliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, inhibits the SGLT2 co-transporter, which leads to lower reabsorption of filtered glucose into the body and decreases the renal threshold for glucose (RTG), leading to increased glucose excretion in the urine.

Metformin is a biguanide antihyperglycaemic agent which improves glucose tolerance by lowering both basal and postprandial plasma glucose. It decreases hepatic glucose production, delays intestinal glucose absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity by enhancing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.

Use of Reniva M 500 mg Tablet:

Reniva M 500 mg tablet is prescribed for the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps to control high blood glucose levels.

Usage direction of Reniva M 500 mg Tablet:

• Reniva M 500 mg tablet should be taken orally.
• Reniva M 500 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
