About Rekool 20 mg Injection:

Rekool 20 mg Injection is indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastric ulcer, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

Each vial contains Rabeprazole Sodium 20 mg.

Combipack with one ampoule of Sterile Water for Injection q.s. to 5 ml.

Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that suppresses gastric acid secretion by the inhibition of H+/K+-ATPase enzyme at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cells. By this action, it prevents the production of acid in the stomach.

Use of Rekool 20 mg Injection:

Rekool 20 mg Injection is used to reduce the excessive acid production in the stomach. It is prescribed for the treatment of the following conditions:

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
• Excessive acidic condition of the stomach such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
• Damaged esophagus, which is caused by stomach acid (Erosive esophagitis).
• Gastric ulcer, which is either caused by Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection or induced by drugs.

Usage Direction of Rekool 20 mg Injection:

• Lyophilised Rekool 20 mg Injection is intended for Intravenous Injection only.
• The Physician will advise the right dose & direction of administration as per the patient’s condition.
• Before administration Rekool 20 mg Injection should be reconstituted with sterile water for injection (5 ml) provided with this pack.
• Self-administration is strictly prohibited.
• Read accompanying package insert for dosage, directions for use and precautions.

Precaution & Related information of Rekool 20 mg Injection:

• If hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients of Rekool 20 mg Injection, consult with the physician.
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
• The Physician should be well informed when concomitant administration of this injection with any other medicines.
• Reconstituted Injection is to be used within 24 hours if stored below 25°C.
• Even visible damage to vial caused during transit, storage or handling may result in contamination.
• Do not use, if foreign particle is visible in vial.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Rekool 20 mg Injection:

• Store protected from light & moisture, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
