Razo 20 mg Injection

About Razo 20 mg Injection:

Razo 20 mg Injection is indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, gastric ulcer, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

Each twin pack contains:

(a) One vial of Rabeprazole Sodium for Injection containing Rabeprazole sodium 20 mg.

(b) One ampoule (FFS) of sterile water for injection 10 ml.

Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that suppresses gastric acid secretion by the inhibition of H+/K+-ATPase enzyme at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cells. By this action, it prevents the production of acid in the stomach.

Use of Razo 20 mg Injection:

Razo 20 mg Injection is used to reduce the excessive acid production in the stomach. It is prescribed for the treatment of the following conditions:

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
• Excessive acidic condition of the stomach such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
• Damaged esophagus, which is caused by stomach acid (Erosive esophagitis).
• Gastric ulcer, which is either caused by Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection or induced by drugs.

Usage Direction of Razo 20 mg Injection:

• Lyophilised Razo 20 mg Injection is intended for Intravenous injection only.
• The Doctor will advise the right dose & direction of administration as per the patient’s condition.
• Before administration Razo 20 mg Injection should be reconstituted with sterile water for injection (10 ml) provided with this pack.
• For reconstitution, refer to package insert.
• Self administration is strictly prohibited.

Precaution & Related information of Razo 20 mg Injection:

• If hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients of Razo 20 mg Injection, consult with the doctor.
• If found any other complications, inform the doctor immediately.
• The Doctor should be well informed when concomitant administration of this injection with any other medicines.
• The ampoule should not be given separately.
• Do not use the injection, if the contents are not clear or contain visible particulate matter after reconstitution.
• Reconstituted Injection is to be used within 4 hours if stored at room temperature.
• Reconstituted Injection is to be used within 24 hours if stored in refrigerator.
• Consult with the doctor during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Razo 20 mg Injection:

• Store protected from light & moisture, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
