Acebrophylline 50mg/5ml + Menthol 2.5mg/5ml + Terbutaline Sulphate 1.25mg/5ml
About Pulmoclear Syrup:
Each 5 ml Pulmoclear syrup contains Acebrophyline 50 mg, Terbutaline Sulphate 1.25 mg, Menthol 2.5 mg, and Flavoured sugar free base q.s.
Acebrophylline has both muco-regulating and bronchodilating properties. Acebrophylline is used to treat bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD). It works by relaxing the muscles of the airways and thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to breathe.
Terbutaline sulphate is used to prevent and treat wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness caused by asthma, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema. Terbutaline is in a class of medications called beta agonists. It works by relaxing and opening the airways, making it easier to breathe.
Menthol is an anti-tussive compound. It is commonly added to cough syrups and lozenges, presumably to suppress coughing and reduce sensitivity to airway irritation. High concentrations of menthol on the skin and tongue can have anaesthetic, analgesic and desensitizing effects.
