Poly B Injection 500000 Units is an antibacterial medication indicated for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections.

Each vial of Poly B Injection 500000 Units contains Polymyxin B Sulphate 500000 units.

Polymyxin B Sulphate is an antibacterial medication. It alters permeability and destroys the bacterial cell membrane of mostly gm-ve organisms, allowing leakage of intracellular contents and resulting in bacterial cell death.

Poly B Injection 500000 Units is an antibacterial medication prescribed for the treatment of various susceptible bacterial infections in the body.

Usage direction of  Poly B Injection 500000 Units :

• Poly B Injection 500000 Units is intended for Intramuscular, Intravenous and Intrathecal use only.
• The Physician will advise the right dose & direction of administration as per the patient’s condition.
• Self-administration is strictly prohibited.

Precaution & Related information of Poly B Injection 500000 Units :

Precaution and physician’s consultation should be taken during the following conditions-

• If hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients of Poly B Injection 500000 Units .
• If experience diarrhoea, as it has been reported after initiation or completion of the antibiotic treatment.
• Renal function should be assessed prior to and regularly during treatment. Dose adjustment is required in patients with reduced renal function.
• The concurrent/sequential use of other nephrotoxic drugs including antimicrobials should be avoided with Poly B Injection 500000 Units .
• The Physician should be well informed when concomitant administration of this injection with any other medicines.
• Any unused portion should be discarded.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy and lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Poly B Injection 500000 Units :

• Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Protect from light.
