About Pexti CR 12.5 mg Tablet:

Pexti CR 12.5 mg Tablet is an antidepressant medication used to treat adults with depression or anxiety disorders.

Each film-coated controlled-release Pexti CR 12.5 mg Tablet contains Paroxetine Hydrochloride Hemihydrate equivalent to Paroxetine 12.5 mg.

Paroxetine is a potent selective inhibitor of serotonin reuptake from the brain synapse, thereby stimulating serotonin activity in the brain and relieving symptoms of depression & anxiety.

Uses of Pexti CR 12.5 mg Tablet:

Pexti CR 12.5 mg Tablet is prescribed for treatment of the following conditions:

  • Major depressive disorder
  • Obsessive-Compulsive disorder
  • Generalized anxiety disorder
  • Panic disorder with or without agoraphobia
  • Social anxiety disorder
  • Post-traumatic stress
  • Pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder, etc.

Usage Direction of Pexti CR 12.5 mg Tablet:

  • Pexti CR 12.5 mg Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
  • Pexti CR 12.5 mg Tablet is to be taken whole with the help of water.
  • Do not break, chew or crush the tablet.
  • Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
  • Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Pexti CR 12.5 mg Tablet:

  • Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Pexti CR 12.5 mg Tablet.
  • Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
  • The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Pexti CR 12.5 mg Tablet with any other medication.
  • Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
