Amantadine 100mg

About Parkitidin Tablet:

Parkitidin tablet is used to treat Parkinson's disease.

Each uncoated Parkitidin tablet contains Amantadine Hydrochloride 100 mg and Excipients q.s.

Amantadine is a weak dopamine agonist possessing antimuscarinic properties. It alters dopamine release and re-uptake. It also non-competitively antagonizes N-methyl-D-aspartate.
As an antiviral drug, it interferes with a viral protein, M2 (an ion channel), which is needed for the viral particle to become uncoated once it is taken inside the cell by endocytosis.

Use of Parkitidin Tablet:

Parkitidin tablet is prescribed for the management of Parkinson's disease and drug-induced extrapyramidal reactions. It can also be used to treat the signs and symptoms of certain viral infections.

Usage direction of Parkitidin Tablet:

  • Parkitidin tablet should be taken orally.
  • Parkitidin tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
  • Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
  • Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
  • Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
