Seller Information:
Domperidone 30mg + Pantoprazole 40mg
- Pan D Capsule Overview:
Pan D Capsule is used for the treatment of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), indigestion, and gastritis in which stomach acid flows back into the food pipe, leading to heartburn and possible esophageal injury. Pan D Capsule is composed of two main ingredients; Pantoprazole and Domperidone, is used in patients in which pantoprazole alone cannot control acid reflux. Pantoprazole reduces stomach acid production, while Domperidone helps improve stomach movement and prevents nausea. Together, they effectively manage acid reflux, heartburn, stomach pain, peptic ulcers, and other symptoms caused by hyper-acidity.
Composition of Pan D Capsule:
Each hard gelatin Pan D capsule contains: Pantoprazole Sodium equivalent to Pantoprazole 40 mg (As gastro-resistant pellets), Domperidone 30 mg (As Prolonged-release pellets) and Excipients q.s.
Colours: Indigo carmine, Sunset yellow FCF & Titanium dioxide used in pellets.
Colours: Black oxide of Iron, Ferric oxide red (Red Oxide of Iron), Ponceau 4R, Erythrosine, Brilliant blue FCF, Tartrazine & Titanium dioxide used in empty hard gelatin capsule shell.
- Uses and Benefits of Pan D Capsule:
Pan D Capsule is prescribed for the following conditions:
Manages Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD/Acid Reflux), where stomach acid backs up into the esophagus, leading to heartburn and irritation.
Relieves bloating, discomfort, and acid-related indigestion by reducing stomach acid production.
Reduces heartburn caused by acid reflux.
Eases gastritis caused by excess stomach acid or Helicobacter pylori bacterial infection.
Heals peptic ulcers by lowering stomach acid levels.
Provides relief from symptoms of acidity and hyperacidity, such as stomach pain, irritation, and discomfort.
- How Pan D Capsule Works:
Pan D Capsule contains two active ingredients, Pantoprazole and Domperidone, that work together to treat conditions caused by too much stomach acid and improve digestion.
Pantoprazole is a selective Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) that works by blocking the proton pump in the stomach lining, which is responsible for producing gastric acid. By inhibiting this enzyme, it effectively reduces stomach acid production, lowering acidity and helping to treat conditions like GERD, acid reflux, and peptic ulcers.
Domperidone, on the other hand, is a gastro-prokinetic and anti-nausea drug. It works by blocking dopamine receptors in the upper part of the digestive system, helping food move through the stomach and preventing nausea and vomiting.
- Dosage of Pan D Capsule:
Usage Direction
Take Pan D Capsule exactly as prescribed by your doctor, and follow the recommended dosage and schedule. Pan D Capsule should be swallowed as whole without crushing, chewing, or breaking it, and ideally at the same time each day. Do not stop or alter the dose of Pan D Capsule without consulting your doctor, as this may prevent you from achieving the desired outcome. Ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any administration procedures you do not understand.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose of Pan D Capsule, take it as soon as it is remembered. If it is time for your next dose of Pan D Capsule, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid taking two doses to compensate for a missed one.
Over Dose
If you accidentally take Pan D Capsule more than your prescribed dose, seek immediate medical advice, as this may lead to serious side effects.

Do not take Pan D Capsule if you are allergic to Pantoprazole, Domperidone, or any other ingredients of this medication, or if you have severe kidney disease.
Pan D should be avoided in patients with a prolactin-releasing pituitary tumor (prolactinoma), gastrointestinal problems, severe liver disease, stomach or intestinal bleeding, heart failure, or abnormal levels of potassium or magnesium in the blood.
