About Oxymet Nasal Spray:

Oxymet Nasal Spray is a medicine indicated for relieving nasal congestion (blocked nose).

Oxymet Nasal Spray contains Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride 0.05% w/v.

Oxymetazoline is a nasal decongestant with selective alpha-2 agonistic action. Oxymetazoline narrows the small blood vessels and reduces blood flow in the inner surface of the nose by producing local vasoconstriction, therefore providing relief from nasal congestion.

Uses of Oxymet Nasal Spray:

Oxymet Nasal Spray is prescribed to treat nasal congestion (Nose block) caused by a variety of conditions such as common cold, hay fever, and upper respiratory allergies.

Usage Direction of Oxymet Nasal Spray:

  • Oxymet Nasal Spray is intended for external use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
  • Clear the nose by blowing gently.
  • Lie with head lower than shoulder.
  • Insert dropper pipette a little way into each nostril and apply 2-3 drops.
  • Remain still for a few minutes.
  • Keep the cap tightly after use.
  • Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
  • Do not use more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Oxymet Nasal Spray:

  • Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is hypersensitive to Oxymet Nasal Spray.
  • Inform the physician immediately, if the patient is having any other complications.
  • The Physician should be well informed when concomitant use of this nasal solution with any other medicines.
  • Warning: If irritation persists or increases, discontinue the use and consult the physician.
  • Oxymet Nasal Spray is not used for injection.
  • Do not touch the dropper tip or other dispensing tip to any surface since this may contaminate the solution.
  • Do not use if seal is broken.
  • Use the solution within one month after opening the container.
  • Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Oxymet Nasal Spray:

Store in a cool & dark place. Do not freeze. Protect from light & heat.
