About Optithrocin Eye Ointment:

Each gram of Optithrocin Eye ointment contains Azithromycin 10 mg, Benzalkonium Chloride 0.01% W/V (As preservative), and Sterile aqueous vehicle q.s.

Optithrocin Eye ointment is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It acts by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of susceptible microorganisms and, thus, interfering with microbial protein synthesis.

Use of Optithrocin Eye Ointment:

Optithrocin Eye ointment contains azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotic that fights bacteria. Optithrocin Eye ointment is used to treat eye infections caused by bacteria like bacterial conjunctivitis.

Usage direction of Optithrocin Eye Ointment:

  • Optithrocin Eye ointment is intended for ophthalmic use only.
  • As per the patient’s conditions, the physician/Ophthalmologist will advise the proper dose and the duration of the application.
  • It is advised to check the label before apply.
  • Unscrew the white cap & discard spacing ring.
  • Refit the white cap firmly down to puncture the diaphragm.
  • Remove the small cap & squeeze tube for use.
  • Do not skip or stop the dose without doctor’s advice.
  • Do not apply more than the prescribed quantity.

  • Optithrocin Eye ointment is for external use only, not for injection.
  • Do not use any other outside article to puncture the diaphragm.
  • If irritation persists or increases discontinue the use and consult the physician/Ophthalmologist.
