About Ocupol DX Eye Ointment :

Ocupol DX Eye ointment is an antibiotic sterile ointment which is used to treat eye infection caused by susceptible organisms. Each Ocupol DX Eye ointment contains Polymyxin-B Sulphate BP 10000 units/gm, Chloramphenicol IP 10 mg/gm, Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate IP 1 mg/gm, and Sterile base.

Use of Ocupol DX Eye Ointment :

Ocupol DX Eye ointment is used to prescribe for the treatment of:

  • Surface ocular infections involving the conjunctiva and/or cornea
  • Superficial bacterial infections of the external auditory canal
  • Infections of mastoidectomy and fenestration cavities

Usage direction of Ocupol DX Eye Ointment :

  • Ocupol DX Eye ointment is intended for ophthalmic use only.
  • As per the patient’s conditions, the physician will advise the proper dose and the duration of the application.
  • Before applying eye ointment wash hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch the lip or let it touch eyes or any other surface.
  • Use within one month after opening the tube.
  • It is advised to check the label before apply.
  • Don’t skip or stop the dose without doctor’s advice.
  • Don’t apply more than the prescribed quantity.
  • Keep the tube tightly closed after use.
