About Nebicard SM Tablet:

Nebicard SM Tablet is a combination medication, indicated to treat high blood pressure.

Each uncoated bilayered Nebicard SM Tablet contains Nebivolol Hydrochloride equivalent to Nebivolol 5 mg and S-Amlodipine Besylate equivalent to S-Amlodipine 2.5 mg.

Nebivolol and S-Amlodipine both are antihypertensive class of medications.  

Nebivolol belongs to a class of beta-blockers. It acts by inhibiting the action of the hormone adrenaline, thereby, relaxing the blood vessels which leads to lower blood pressure.  

S-Amlodipine belongs to a class of calcium channel blockers. It acts by altering the movement of calcium ions in the heart and blood vessel cells thereby dilating the blood vessels which improves blood flow to the heart muscle. In this way, it reduces blood pressure.

Use of Nebicard SM Tablet:

Nebicard SM Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure).

Usage Direction of Nebicard SM Tablet:

• Nebicard SM Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Nebicard SM Tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Nebicard SM Tablet:

• Do not take Nebicard SM Tablet if patients are allergic to this medicine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• Do not take Nebicard SM Tablet if patients have serious circulation problems in the arms or legs, very slow heartbeat, certain other serious heart rhythm problems, asthma or wheezing, liver function disorder, or a metabolic disorder (e.g. diabetic ketoacidosis).
• Do not take Nebicard SM Tablet if patients have untreated phaeochromocytoma, a tumor located on top of the kidneys, narrowing of the aortic heart valve, or cardiogenic shock (a condition where your heart is unable to supply enough blood to the body).
• Do not take Nebicard SM Tablet if patients have heart failure, which has just occurred or which has recently become worse, or patients are receiving treatment for circulatory shock due to acute heart failure by intravenous drip feed to help the heart work.
• Consult with a physician if patients have severe kidney disease or patients are undergoing dialysis.
• This medicine may mask the signs of an abnormally fast heart rate due to an overactive thyroid gland.
• Inform the physician if patients have psoriasis or ever had psoriasis.
• Inform the physician if patients have liver disease.
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
• The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Nebicard SM Tablet with any other medication.
• Nebicard SM Tablet should not be used during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Nebicard SM Tablet:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, protected from light and moisture.
