About Nebicard H Tablet:

Nebicard H Tablet is a combination medication, indicated to treat essential hypertension (high blood pressure).

Each uncoated Nebicard H Tablet contains Nebivolol Hydrochloride equivalent to Nebivolol 5 mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg.

Nebivolol and Hydrochlorothiazide both are antihypertensive class of medication.  

Nebivolol belongs to a class of beta-blockers. It acts by inhibiting the action of the hormone adrenaline, thereby, relaxing the blood vessels which leads to lower blood pressure.  

Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to a class of thiazide diuretic medicines. It acts by increasing the production of more urine to excrete excess fluid and certain electrolytes from the body. In this way, it lowers high blood pressure.

Use of Nebicard H Tablet:

Nebicard H Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of essential hypertension (high blood pressure).

Usage Direction of Nebicard H Tablet:

  • Nebicard H Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
  • Nebicard H Tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
  • Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
  • Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
  • Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Nebicard H Tablet:

  • Consult with the physician if patients are allergic to nebivolol, Hydrochlorothiazide, or any of the other ingredients of this medicine or sulphonamide-derived drugs.
  • Inform the physician if the patient has an abnormally slow heartbeat, a type of chest pain due to spontaneously occurring heart cramp called Prinzmetal angina, untreated chronic heart failure, 1st-degree heart block, poor circulation in the arms or legs (e.g. Raynaud’s disease or syndrome), cramp-like pains when walking, prolonged breathing problems.
  • Inform the physician if patients are diabetic, have serious kidney problems, have eye pain and visual disturbance, hyperuricemia, or electrolyte imbalance.
  • Nebicard H Tablet may mask the signs of an abnormally fast heart rate due to an  overactive thyroid gland.
  • Inform the physician if the patient has a disease of the parathyroid gland.
  • Inform the physician if the patient suffers from psoriasis (a skin disease - scaly pink patches).  
  • If a patient has to have surgery, always inform the anesthetist that the patients are on Nebicard H Tablet before being anesthetized.
  • If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
  • The physician should be aware of the concomitant use of Nebicard H Tablet with any other medication.
  • Nebicard H Tablet causes dizziness or fatigue. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery.
  • If patients are pregnant or breastfeeding or think they may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask the physician for advice before taking this medicine.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Nebicard H Tablet:

Store protected from light and moisture at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
