About Moxicip Eye Drop:

Moxicip eye drop is a sterile antibiotic solution for topical ophthalmic use. Moxicip eye drop contains Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride equivalent to Moxifloxacin 0.5% w/v & Aqueous vehicle q.s. Moxifloxacin is a member of the fluoroquinolone class of anti-infective drugs.

Use of Moxicip Eye Drop:

Moxicip eye drop is indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis caused by susceptible organisms.

Usage direction of Moxicip Eye Drop:

Moxicip eye drop should be administered as per doctor advice. Moxicip eye drop is for topical ophthalmic use only and should not be injected subconjunctivally or introduced directly into the anterior chamber of the eye. Not For Injection.

Precaution & Related Information Moxicip Eye Drop:

  • Risk of Contamination: Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface to avoid contaminating the contents.
  • Concomitant use of contact Lens: Do not wear contact lenses if they have signs and symptoms of bacterial conjunctivitis.
  • Potential for hypersensitivity Reactions: Discontinue use immediately and contact physician at the first sign of a rash or allergic reaction.
  • Pregnancy & Lactation : During pregnancy & lactation please consult with physician before using this medication.
  • Pregnancy category C: Since there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, Moxicip eye drop should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.
  • Lactating women: Moxifloxacin has not been measured in human milk, although it can be presumed to  be excreted in human milk. Caution should be exercised when Moxicip eye drop is administered to a nursing mother.
  • Storage Instruction: Store at 2°C - 25°C (36°F - 77°F).
