Minipress XL 5 mg Tablet Overview:

Minipress XL 5 mg Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and congestive heart failure, either alone or in combination with other anti-hypertensive medicines.

Hypertension is a common condition, but it can damage different body parts such as the brain, kidney, heart and blood vessels, if left untreated. These damages can further lead to other complications such as heart attack, stroke, heart failure, kidney failure, etc. It is important to monitor blood pressure regularly to manage the condition.

Minipress XL 5 mg GITS Tablet is also used to treat other conditions along with hypertension, such as (PTSD) Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Raynaud's disease (commonly in the fingers or toes) and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) in men by relaxing the muscles in the prostate glands, leading to increased urine flow.

Each film coated GITS tablet contains: Prazosin Hydrochloride equivalent to Prazosin: 5 mg and Excipients q.s.

Permitted Colour used: Red Oxide of Iron.

Minipress XL 5 mg Tablet supports increased blood flow through vasodilation and manages the condition.
• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) - Post Traumatic Stress Disorder occurs due to the experiencing traumatic events which is linked with nightmares and sleep disorders. Minipress XL 5 mg GITS Tablet is effective for trauma-related nightmares by improving the sleeping ability.

Minipress XL 5 mg Tablet contains Prazosin, a group of medicines called Alpha Blockers, as the active ingredient. Minipress XL 5 mg Tablet helps reducing high blood pressure by widening or relaxing blood vessels, letting an increased amount of blood to flow easily. This way it can manage other conditions such as congestive heart failure, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and Raynaud's disease.

• Usage Direction

Take Minipress XL 5 mg GITS Tablet, exactly as prescribed by your doctor as per recommended dose and schedule. Swallow the Minipress XL 5 mg Tablet whole, without breaking, crushing or chewing it, preferably at the same time each day. Do not skip, stop or modify the dose of Minipress XL 5 mg Tablet without consulting with your doctor, as this could hinder its effect.
