About Listril Plus Tablet:

Listril Plus Tablet is a combination medication, indicated to manage mild-moderate high blood pressure.

Each uncoated Listril Plus Tablet contains Lisinopril equivalent to Lisinopril anhydrous 5 mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg.

Lisinopril and Hydrochlorothiazide both are antihypertensive class of medication.

Lisinopril belongs to a class of ACE inhibitors (Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme Inhibitors). It acts by inhibiting the angiotensin-converting enzyme and relaxes the blood vessels, thereby, lowering the blood pressure.

Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to a class of thiazide diuretic medicines. It acts by increasing the production of more urine to excrete excess fluid and certain electrolytes from the body. In this way, it lowers high blood pressure.

Use of Listril Plus Tablet:

Listril Plus Tablet is prescribed for the management of mild-moderate hypertension (high blood pressure) in patients who have been stabilized on the individual components given in the same proportions.

Usage Direction of Listril Plus Tablet:

• Listril Plus Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• Listril Plus Tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Listril Plus Tablet:

• Inform the physician if patients are allergic to lisinopril or hydrochlorothiazide, or any of the other ingredients of Listril Plus.
• Patients taking hydrochlorothiazide should be informed of the risk of non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) and advised to regularly check their skin for any new lesions and promptly report any suspicious skin lesions.
• Inform the physician if the patient has ever had sudden swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, face, lips, tongue, or throat, especially if this followed treatment with an ACE inhibitor. It may also have been difficult to swallow or breathe.
• Consult with a physician if the patient has severe kidney problems or liver problems.
• Consult with the physician if the patient has a narrowing of the aorta (an artery of the heart), the heart valves (mitral valves), or the kidney artery.
• Consult with the physician if patients have an increase in the thickness of the heart muscle (known as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) and have problems with blood vessels (collagen vascular disease).
• Inform the physician, if patients have diabetes, or have recently had diarrhea or vomiting.
• Inform the physician if patients have high levels of cholesterol and patients are having a treatment called ‘LDL apheresis’.  
• Inform the physician if patients have ever had a condition called systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
• This medicine may cause occasional dizziness or tiredness which may affect the ability to drive or use machines, especially at the start of treatment or when the dose is adjusted, or in combination with alcohol.
• The Physician should be well informed when concomitant consumption of this tablet with any other medicines or supplements.
• Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
• Keep out of reach of children.

Storage condition of Listril Plus Tablet:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, protected from light and moisture.
