About Levokast Tablet:

Levokast Tablet is a combination medicine, indicated for relieving symptoms of allergic rhinitis.

Each uncoated Levokast Tablet contains Levocetirizine Hydrochloride 5 mg and Montelukast Sodium equivalent to Montelukast 10 mg.

Levocetirizine is an antiallergic medication that selectively inhibits histamine H1 receptors. This action prevents the negative symptoms associated with histamine release and provides relief from allergic reactions.

Montelukast is a selective leukotriene receptor antagonist. Leukotriene type-1 receptor is located on the respiratory airway and on pro-inflammatory cells. It has been correlated with the pathophysiology of asthma and allergic rhinitis. By inhibiting the leukotriene type-1 receptor, Montelukast helps reduce inflammation in the airways and relieve allergic symptoms.
