About Kofirax Syrup:

Each 5 ml of Kofirax syrup contains Levosalbutamol Sulphate 1 mg, Ambroxol Hydrochloride 30 mg, Guaiphenesin 50 mg and in a Flavoured syrupy base q.s.

Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator medicine that relaxes the muscles in the airways leading to the lung and improves the amount of airflow to and from the lungs. It is used to prevent and treat the symptoms of asthma and Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent that increases respiratory tract secretion by enhancing the production of pulmonary surfactants and stimulating the ciliary activity. This activity results in the improvement of mucociliary clearance and enhancement of fluid secretion which facilitates expectoration and eases cough.

Guaifenesin acts as an expectorant by increasing the effective hydration of the respiratory gland thereby increasing the volume and reducing the viscosity of tenacious bronchial secretions, thus facilitating its removal by natural clearance processes.

Use of Kofirax Syrup:

Kofirax syrup is prescribed for the management of wet or productive cough. It thins the mucus and makes it easier to cough out.

Usage direction of Kofirax Syrup:

• Kofirax syrup should be taken orally.

• Shake well before use.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed after use.

• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician's advice.

• Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.
