About Jupicid 40 mg Tablet:

Jupicid 40 mg tablet is a proton pump inhibitor used to treat Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and gastric ulcer.

Each enteric-coated Jupicid 40 mg tablet contains Esomeprazole Magnesium Trihydrate equivalent to Esomeprazole 40 mg and Excipients q.s.

Esomeprazole is the S-isomer of omeprazole. It exerts its stomach acid-suppressing effects by blocking the final step in gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system present on the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cells.

Use of Jupicid 40 mg Tablet:

Jupicid 40 mg tablet is prescribed for the treatment of:

  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
  • Excessive acidic condition of the stomach such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
  • Damaged esophagus, which is caused by stomach acid (Erosive esophagitis).
  • Gastric ulcer, which is either caused by helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, or induced by drugs.

Usage direction of Jupicid 40 mg Tablet:

  • Jupicid 40 mg tablet should be taken orally.
  • Jupicid 40 mg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
  • Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
  • Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
  • Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Precaution & Related information of Jupicid 40 mg Tablet:

  • If allergic to this medicine, inform the physician immediately.
  • If find any other complication inform the physician immediately.
  • Consult with the physician during pregnancy & lactation.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
