Jitolosa 50 Tablet is an antihypertensive medicine primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

It is also prescribed to help protect kidney function in hypertensive patients with type 2 diabetes.

In addition, Jitolosa 50 Tablet is recommended for the management of chronic heart failure in patients who are unable to tolerate ACE inhibitor medicines.

The medicine is also indicated to reduce the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH), a condition where the muscular wall of the heart’s left pumping chamber becomes thickened.

However, Jitolosa 50 Tablet comparatively less effective in reducing stroke risk in Black patients, including individuals of African-American origin.        

Jitolosa 50 Tablet contains Losartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels. This improves blood flow, enables the heart to pump blood more efficiently, and helps lower pressure within the arteries. As a result, it reduces the risk of serious complications associated with uncontrolled high blood pressure, such as heart attack, stroke, heart failure, and kidney damage.
