Jitoesom DO Capsule is a combination medicine, used to treat symptoms of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) and related digestive issues, when Esomeprazole alone is not effective enough to manage.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease occurs when stomach acid flows back into the food pipe, leading to heartburn and possible esophageal injury. Jitoesom DO Capsule is composed of two main ingredients: Esomeprazole and Domperidone. Esomeprazole reduces stomach acid production, while Domperidone helps improve stomach movement and prevents nausea. Together, they effectively relieve post-prandial symptoms of fullness, bloating, nausea, indigestion, heartburn, stomach pain, peptic ulcers, and other symptoms caused by hyper-acidity.

Composition:

Each hard gelatin capsule contains- Esomeprazole Magnesium Trihydrate equivalent to Esomeprazole (as off white coloured enteric coated pellets): 40 mg and  Domperidone (as orange coloured sustained release pellets): 30 mg.

Esomeprazole Colour: Titanium Dioxide.

Domperidone Colour: Sunset Yellow.

How Jitoesom DO Capsule works:

Jitoesom DO Capsule contains two active ingredients: Esomeprazole and Domperidone, which work together to treat conditions caused by too much stomach acid and improve digestion.

Esomeprazole is a selective Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) that works by blocking the proton pump in the stomach lining, which is responsible for producing gastric acid. • Usage Direction

Do not stop or change the dosage of Jitoesom DO without consulting your doctor, as this may prevent you from achieving the desired results. • Missed Dose

In case you miss a dose of Jitoesom DO Capsule, take it as soon as it is remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose of Jitoesom DO, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing plan. Avoid taking a double dose of Jitoesom DO to make up for a missed one.

• Overdose

If you accidentally take Jitoesom DO Capsule more than your prescribed dose, seek immediate medical advice, as this may cause nausea, vomiting, dizziness, abdominal pain, diarrhea, headache, depression, altered consciousness or hyper motility.

Contraindications of Jitoesom DO Capsule:

Do not take Jitoesom DO Capsule if you are allergic or hypersensitive to esomeprazole, other proton pump inhibitors, domperidone, other dopamine antagonists or other ingredients of this medication. Jitoesom DO Capsule should also be avoided if you have moderate to severe liver or kidney disease, a tumour of the pituitary gland (prolactinoma), stomach or intestinal bleeding, intestinal blockage, or perforation. It is also unsafe for people with heart rhythm problems, heart failure, or low potassium or magnesium levels, and also if you are taking any medicine to treat of HIV-infection.

Before starting Jitoesom DO Capsule, inform your doctor if you have severe liver or kidney disease, gastric ulcers or gastrointestinal surgery, low magnesium levels, bone fractures, atrophic gastritis, acute interstitial nephritis, and Clostridium difficile–associated diarrhea. Also, let your doctor know if you are taking this medicine for a long time, which may lead to Vitamin B12 deficiency.

Additionally, some uncommon side effects have also been reported, such as swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, lips or throat, irregular eye movements, twisted neck, trembling and muscle stiffness, unusual heartbeat and fit (seizure).

• Alcohol

Concurrent use with anticholinergics reduces domperidone's effectiveness. Avoid with other proton pump inhibitors.
