About Gufigest SR 400 mg Capsule: 

Gufigest SR 400 mg Capsule contains progesterone, which is a natural female sex hormone, essential for the regulation of ovulation and menstruation. Gufigest SR 400 mg Capsule is used for the treatment of menstrual and pregnancy-related issues by adjusting the hormonal balance within the body.

Each sustained-release soft gelatin Gufigest SR 400 mg Capsule contains Progesterone 400 mg.

Progesterone is the main hormone secreted by the corpus luteum and the placenta. It works by inducing secretory changes in the endometrium, promoting mammary gland development, relaxing the uterus, blocking follicular maturation and ovulation, maintaining pregnancy, inducing adequate endometrial maturity, thus promoting embryo implantation.

Use of Gufigest SR 400 mg Capsule:

Gufigest SR 400 mg Capsule is prescribed for the following:

  • Regulation of ovulation and menstruation
  • Treatment of amenorrhea (absence of a menstrual period in a woman of reproductive age), premenstrual syndrome, recurrent miscarriage due to progesterone deficiency
  • Control of abnormal uterine bleeding

Gufigest SR 400 mg Capsule can also be used as a part of hormonal replacement therapy for the prevention of endometrial hyperplasia (thickening of the lining of the uterus).

Usage Direction of Gufigest SR 400 mg Capsule:

  • Gufigest SR 400 mg Capsule is intended for vaginal use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
  • Do not break or crush the capsule.
  • Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
  • Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of Gufigest SR 400 mg Capsule:

  • If hypersensitive or allergic to Gufigest SR 400 mg Capsule, inform the physician immediately.
