About GMM V Forte Tablet:

GMM V Forte Tablet is a combination of three antidiabetic medications, used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Each film-coated bilayered GMM V Forte Tablet contains Metformin Hydrochloride 1000 mg (As Extended-Release), Voglibose 0.3 mg and Glimepiride 3 mg.

Metformin is a biguanide antihyperglycaemic agent which improves glucose tolerance by lowering both basal and postprandial plasma glucose. It decreases hepatic glucose production, delays intestinal glucose absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity by enhancing peripheral glucose uptake and utilization.

Glimepiride, an antidiabetic sulphonylurea, reduces blood glucose by stimulating the insulin release from pancreatic ß-cells and decreases glucose output from the liver. It also increases insulin sensitivity at peripheral target sites.

Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor used for lowering post-prandial blood glucose levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Hence, the combination of Glimepiride, Metformin, and Voglibose complements each other and provides better glycemic control in the management of type 2 diabetes and probably in the prevention of its associated macrovascular and microvascular complications.

Use of GMM V Forte Tablet:

GMM V Forte Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps control high blood glucose levels.

Usage Direction of GMM V Forte Tablet:

• GMM V Forte Tablet is intended for oral use only, in a dose and direction as prescribed by the physician.
• GMM V Forte Tablet is to be taken whole with the help of water.
• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
• Do not skip or stop the medicine without the physician’s advice.
• Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dosage.

Precaution & Related information of GMM V Forte Tablet:

• Caution: It is dangerous to take this preparation except under medical supervision.
• If hypersensitive or allergic to GMM V Forte Tablet, inform the physician immediately.
• If found any other complications, inform the physician immediately.
• The physician should be well informed when concomitant consumption of this tablet with any other medicines or supplements.
