About Glizid MV Tablet:
Glizid MV tablet is a combination of three antidiabetic medications, used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. Each uncoated bilayered Glizid MV tablet contains Gliclazide 80 mg, Voglibose 0.2 mg, Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg (as sustained release form) and Excipients q.s.
Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor used for lowering post-prandial blood glucose levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Gliclazide belongs to the sulfonylurea class of insulin secretagogues that increases insulin sensitivity at peripheral target sites by stimulating insulin release from the pancreatic ß-cells. It also reduces insulin uptake & glucose output of the liver.
