About Glipon 20 mg Tablet:

Glipon 20 mg Tablet is an antidiabetic class of medication prescribed for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Each film-coated Glipon 20 mg Tablet contains Teneligliptin Hydrobromide Hydrate equivalent to Teneligliptin 20 mg.

Teneligliptin inhibits the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) enzyme that rapidly truncates and inactivates incretin hormones such as glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP). Incretin hormones stimulate insulin secretion and inhibit glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner. These effects help to lower the overall blood glucose levels.

Glipon 20 mg Tablet is an oral antidiabetic agent indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes (non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, NIDDM).
