About Forair 500 mcg Respicap:

Forair 500 mcg respicap is used to manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Each hard gelatin Forair 500 mcg respicap capsule for dry powder inhalation contains Salmeterol Xinafoate equivalent to Salmeterol 50 µg and Fluticasone Propionate 500 µg.

Salmeterol is an agonist of beta2-adrenergic receptors (found predominantly in bronchial smooth muscle). Beta-2 adrenoceptor stimulation causes relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle, bronchodilation, and increased airflow.

Fluticasone propionate is a synthetic, trifluorinated glucocorticoid with potent anti-inflammatory activity. It exerts its beneficial effects by inhibiting several types of cells and mediators involved in allergic, immune, and inflammatory responses.

Use of Forair 500 mcg Respicap:

Forair 500 mcg respicap is indicated in the regular treatment of asthma, where the use of a combination (long-acting beta2-agonist and inhaled corticosteroid) has been found to be appropriate, and in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Usage direction of Forair 500 mcg Respicap:

• Before using Forair 500 mcg respicap, know the administration process properly from the enclosed leaflet.

• Forair 500 mcg respicap is indicated for oral inhalation only.

• Remove the capsule form the container immediately before use.

• Close the container tightly after each use.

• Do not discontinue without physician’s advice.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
