About Forair 100 Respicap:
Forair 100 respicap is used to manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Each hard gelatin Forair 100 respicap capsule for dry powder inhalation contains Salmeterol Xinafoate equivalent to Salmeterol 50 µg and Fluticasone Propionate 100 µg.
Salmeterol is an agonist of beta2-adrenergic receptors (found predominantly in bronchial smooth muscle). Beta-2 adrenoceptor stimulation causes relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle, bronchodilation, and increased airflow.
Fluticasone propionate is a synthetic, trifluorinated glucocorticoid with potent anti-inflammatory activity. It exerts its beneficial effects by inhibiting several types of cells and mediators involved in allergic, immune, and inflammatory responses.
Use of Forair 100 Respicap:
Forair
100 respicap is indicated in the regular
treatment of asthma, where the use of a combination (long-acting beta2-agonist
and inhaled corticosteroid) has been found to be appropriate, and in patients
with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Usage
direction of Forair 100 Respicap:
• Forair 100 respicap is indicated for oral inhalation only.
• Before using Forair 100 respicap, know the administration process properly from the enclosed leaflet.
• Capsules are not to be swallowed and are intended for use through Respihaler only.
• Remove the capsule form the container immediately before use.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Do not discontinue without physician’s advice.
