About Flutrol 125 mcg Inhaler:
Flutrol 125 mcg inhaler is used to manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Each actuation from valve Flutrol 125 mcg inhaler delivers Salmeterol Xinafoate equivalent to Salmeterol 25 mcg, Fluticasone Propionate 125 mcg and Suspended in Propellant HFA 134a q.s.
Salmeterol is an agonist of beta2-adrenergic receptors (found predominantly in bronchial smooth muscle). Beta-2 adrenoceptor stimulation causes relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle, bronchodilation, and increased airflow.
Fluticasone propionate is a synthetic, trifluorinated glucocorticoid with potent anti-inflammatory activity. It exerts its beneficial effects by inhibiting several types of cells and mediators involved in allergic, immune, and inflammatory responses.
Use of Flutrol 125 mcg Inhaler:
Flutrol 125 mcg inhaler is indicated in the regular treatment of asthma, where the use of a combination (long-acting beta2-agonist and inhaled corticosteroid) has been found to be appropriate, and in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Usage direction of Flutrol 125 mcg Inhaler:
• Flutrol 125 mcg inhaler is meant for oral inhalation only.
• Before using Flutrol 125 mcg inhaler, know the administration process properly from the enclosed leaflet.
• Shake well before each use.
• Close the mouthpiece cover immediately after every inhalation.
• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Do not discontinue without physician’s advice.
