About Flutrol 100 mcg Capsule:

Flutrol 100 mcg capsule is used to manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Each hard gelatin  Flutrol 100 mcg capsule contains Salmeterol Xinafoate equivalent to Salmeterol 50 mcg and Fluticasone Propionate 100 mcg.

Salmeterol is an agonist of beta2-adrenergic receptors (found predominantly in bronchial smooth muscle). Beta-2 adrenoceptor stimulation causes relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle, bronchodilation, and increased airflow.

Fluticasone propionate is a synthetic, trifluorinated glucocorticoid with potent anti-inflammatory activity. It exerts its beneficial effects by inhibiting several types of cells and mediators involved in allergic, immune, and inflammatory responses.

Use of Flutrol 100 mcg Capsule:

Flutrol 100 mcg capsule is indicated in the regular treatment of asthma, where the use of a combination (long-acting beta2-agonist and inhaled corticosteroid) has been found to be appropriate, and in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Usage direction of Flutrol 100 mcg Capsule:

• Flutrol 100 mcg capsule is meant for oral inhalation only.

• Before using Flutrol 100 mcg capsule, know the administration process properly from the enclosed leaflet.

• Capsules are intended for use through MacHaler only and are not to be swallowed.

• After taking your medicine rinse your mouth with water and spit out.

• Keep the container tightly closed.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose.

• Do not discontinue without physician’s advice.
