About Ezicas AZ Nasal Spray:

Ezicas AZ Nasal Spray is used to manage symptoms of allergic rhinitis.

Each Actuation delivers Azelastine Hydrochloride 140 mcg and Flutisone Propionate 50 mcg.

Composition: Azelastine Hydrochloride 0.14% w/v, Flutisone Propionate 0.05% w/v, Benzalkonium Chloride 0.01% w/v (As Preservative), Phenylethyl Alcohol 0.25% w/v (As Preservative) and Excipients q.s.

Azelastine is primarily a selective antagonist of histamine H1-receptors, with a lesser affinity for H2-receptors. Azelastine selectively blocks H1-receptors on effector cells, inhibiting the release of histamine involved in an allergic response. Additionally, it inhibits the accumulation of other inflammatory mediators like leukotriene, platelet activation factor (PAF), serotonin, and eosinophil.

Fluticasone propionate is a synthetic, trifluorinated glucocorticoid with potent anti-inflammatory activity. It exerts its beneficial effects by inhibiting several types of cells and mediators involved in allergic, immune, and inflammatory responses.

Use of Ezicas AZ Nasal Spray:

Ezicas AZ Nasal Spray is an antihistamine-corticosteroid combination available as a metered spray formulation for intranasal administration.

Ezicas AZ Nasal Spray is prescribed for the management of symptoms of allergic rhinitis, once the need for an antihistamine and corticosteroid has been established.

Usage direction of Ezicas AZ Nasal Spray:

  • Ezicas AZ Nasal Spray is intended for intranasal use only.
  • Shake well before each use.
  • As per the patient’s conditions, the physician will advise the proper dose and duration of the medication.
  • It is advised to check the label or patients information leaflet before use.
  • Do not skip or stop the dose without physician’s advice.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose.
