About Euthyrox 88 mcg Tablet:

Each uncoated Euthyrox 88 mcg tablet contains L-Thyroxine sodium equivalent to anhydrous L-Thyroxine sodium 88 mcg (Synthetic Thyroid Hormone) and Excipients q.s.

Use of Euthyrox 88 mcg Tablet:

Euthyrox 88 mcg tablet is used to prescribe for the treatment of hypothyroidism.

It is also used in the management of thyroid cancer and diffuse non-toxic goiter or Hashimoto thyroiditis, conditions in which the thyroid gland becomes enlarged causing swelling in the front of neck.

Usage direction of Euthyrox 88 mcg Tablet:

  • Euthyrox 88 mcg tablet should be taken orally.
  • Euthyrox 88 mcg tablet is taken whole with the help of water.
  • Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.
  • Replace cap tightly after use.
  • Do not stop or skip the medicine without physician’s advice.
  • Do not consume more than the prescribed quantity.

Special warnings of Euthyrox 88 mcg tablet with food and drink:

Consumption of soybean flour (infant formula), cotton seed meal, walnuts and dietary fiber may bind and decrease the absorption of levothyroxine sodium from the gastrointestinal tract.

Calcium, calcium-fortified orange juice and grape fruit juice may delay the absorption of levothyroxine and reduce its bioavailability.
